1. How long is your service?
Run Philly Dog Run provides a 60 minute dog running service. We always include a warm-up walk and a cool down walk to make sure that all joints and muscles are loosened up before and after the run. We will come to your house and pick up your dog, and drop him/her back off at the end of the run.
2. Do you offer an initial evaluation?
Yes, we offer a free initial evaluation. During this evaluation we will get a chance to meet you and your dog, and get your dog’s health history, evaluate your dog’s fitness needs, and gain a better understanding of your goals for using this service.
3. Is your company Insured and Bonded?
Yes, Run Philly Dog Run is fully insured and bonded.
4. If I already walk my dog, do I really need to use Run Philly Dog Run?
While walking is great, it is not enough exercise for most breeds. Dogs need at least 30-45 minutes per day of exercise. And exercise means moving around and getting the heart beating! Dogs can really benefit from this. Not only can running make them healthier, but it makes them happier too!
5. Where do you run with my dog?
We run all over the city; our routes really depend on your location. We start from where you live, and then create a route from there.
6. Do I need to give you a set of keys to my house?
if you will not be home during the time of the run, then we ask that you give us a copy of your keys. If you will be home, then we will not need a set of keys.
7. Do you accept cash, check or credit card?
We accept cash and checks. Payment is due at the time of the run.
8. How often should my dog run per week?
Ideally it is important to establish a consistent fitness routine. However, it really depends on your dog’s health, his/her age and his/her current fitness level. Remember, even once or twice per week is better than no running at all!
9. Are there age restrictions?
We do not like to run dogs that are any younger than 9 months old. It is better to wait until your dog has had some time to develop before starting into a regular running routine. Senior dogs need exercise, however it is important to check with your vet to see how much exercise they are able to handle considering their age and health.
10.Is it important to consult with my veterinarian before using this service?
Yes, it is important to check with your vet to see if your dog is fit and able to participate in a dog running program.
